Pole Dancing is now recognized as a form of fitness and theatrical entertainment and can be enjoyed by all ages. By promoting Pole Dancing Competitions we are helping to extinguish negative attitudes which devalue the name of Pole Dance and help to highlight the complex physicality of this performance art Pole Dancing it is now being accepted by society more than ever.

 

Competition Squad

Bodybarre has created this class as a place for champions to reign, performers to shine and for those who simply love to dance complete pole routines.

It is here where we design a complete fully choreographed pole dance routine for each individual whether it is just for fun, to perform in a show or for preparing to participate in Pole Dancing Competitions.

We can help you choose your music and costume, discuss the level you want to compete at, and make sure we abide by the Pole Dancing Competition rules!
Personality will be encouraged to shine through in your music choice and dance style. Bodybarre strive on always being unique within their work so you can guarantee that extra special ‘show stopping’ quirky details will be added to your performance piece!

Note: You must attend a weekly pole squad training class to qualify for the Competition Squad.

What is the difference between Pole Squad and Competition Squad?
Pole Squad is a more general training session where we improve pole skills and tackle new moves. Competition Squad will inject all of your favourite Pole Squad moves into a routine complete with unique filler moves exclusive for each individual.
 
 
 
Take Part
The Competitions run each year and are open to all levels; amateurs and professionals. The search for the Pole Dance Champion will take part over several heats in front of a panel of judges. The Grand Finals are always a fantastic event bringing Pole Dancing Schools nationwide together. Audiences can enjoy the competition alongside Pole Dancing entertainment. Taking part in these competitions are fun and provide a great confidence boost.
 
 
 
Training
Preparing for a performance can take months of rehearsals and practice to perfect before taking it to the stage. Master pieces are not created in five minutes. Prepare to work hard and understand that dancing on the pole to a complete song will be challenging in itself if you are new to routines. Remember music tracks can last between 3 and 5 minutes!
